USDA/CACFP program is funded through the United States Department of Agriculture. The program provides healthy breakfast. lunches. and snacks to day cares in Sunflower, Humphreys, Washington, Leflore, Holmes, and Grenada Counties. SHCPI also provides meals for Adult Day Care Centers.

SHCPI Nutrition Department also participates in the Summer Food Program each year that provides healthy meals to youth ages 1-18 during the month of June and July.

Salutations, I am Samantha Ransfer, USDA Nutrition Manager of Sunflower Humphreys- Counties Progress. I am elated to be a part of serving our local and surrounding community child care centers and adult daycare centers. Allow myself and staff to take the worries away from your day-to-day feeding operation.

Here, at Sunflower Humphreys- Counties Progress our nutrition department consists of Mrs. Barbara Brown, Compliance Officer and Mrs. Linda Marshall, Nutrition Monitor. Our office staff is proud to service our community. We are here to provide the help and assistance to be able to offer your children, disabled and elderly adults, the nutritional meals that their bodies need to stay healthy and active.

We offer two excellent programs:

CACFP- Child Adult Care Food Program

SFP- Summer Feeding Program

Our Child Adult Care Food Program provides nutritional balanced meals to child care providers as well as adult and disabled care providers. This program is offered yearly.

We also offer the Summer Feeding Program which operates June-July. We provide nutritional balanced meals during breakfast and lunch for ages 1-18 years old. We service local community centers, summer athletic programs, summer enrichment programs and more. This program is offered June- July.

We have two central kitchen locations:

Cassie Pennington Kitchen, Indianola, MS which service the following areas; Sunflower County, Humphrey County and Washington County

Greenwood Kitchen, Greenwood, MS which services the following areas; Leflore County, Holmes County and Grenada County.
